At the end of the day there are "trophy records" which a lot of people are scrabbling over, and then everything else….some stuff went very cheap.
SHRINE TIME
and an extremely elusive one - which we are not ashamed to admit, this is our FIRST copy this century!
a wonderful Keni Lewis project with the arrangement in the capable hands of Dale Warren. The pair borrow from the Sound Of Motown to recreate a Marvelettes style Northern Soul dancer crammed full of horns, crashing cymbals, squealing trumpets and a sweet girl-group harmony as syrupy as it gets, with the expressive lead vocal keeping it’s “soul” intact.
KILLER NORTHERN SOUL
Flip it over and soak into a abyss of sultry ladies strokin’ your every emotion with their sensual delivery. Horny as hell sexy-soul!

So how thrilling it is, to have the chance to auction a copy that has sat filed in one of the country’s most prestigious collections for the whole of that period. Listen how the soundfile file unleashes perfect sound quality; The depth, clarity and crispness is astounding.
so sit back and enjoy the genius of Don Davis and his Groovesville team.. not once but twice-times over.

Thanks to John Anderson and his legendary USA exploits hoovering up vinyl and delivering it to the Northern Soul DJ’s in just the right quantities; this PROMO only 45 giveaway with the 1968 Goodway “The Original and New” album was an overnight sensation.
Reliving the album of their attached 45’s John Anderson fed the Cleethoroes DJ with this astonishing potent Northern Soul masterpiece. Simultaneously igniting a monster tune of the Saturday at both Wigan Casino ^& Cleethorpes Pier as the trend of DJ’s spinning that weeks outstanding “finds” on the hour every hours.
The memorable booming vocal of John Wilson resounded round those hallowed halls to a rapturous response…as you can imagine.

TUSKA Records the South’s equivalent to SHRINE with every release hard to find, decidedly good and ticking all the Rare Soul collector/DJ boxes.
This release offers a fabulously potent to Funk / Northern Soul hybrid that has been wowing some of the upfront RARE only clubs in recent times.
Mighty horns blast a hole for Buddy to metre out the lyrics with his barbed vocal style, the horns and rasping voice rebound off each other all the way to a very impressive instrumental break fusing brass and guitar in an irresistible dance period.
As good as the topside is, do not overlook the funeral paced Deep Soul ballad on the flip. Downbeat horns enhanced by quavering girl-group chorus embroider Buddy control expedition into despair.
Two awesome contrasting sides that underline this labels commitment to SOUL!
