A quick heads up for the Wigan memorabilia collectors.

Recommended Posts

Just seen this in the latest catalogue I had sent through from Omega Auctions , an original colour poster and a patch for sale.

And also a lot of record boxes for sale , Lots 600A - 600B - 600C.

Not connected to me by the way.

It's worth having a go at the poster - for Hilda's sake. ❤️

Thanks, the poster I think was used in a promotional for the Casino by the Council / museum some years ago , so for a cheaper albeit copy for the Mancave framed definitely, but the boxes at those starting prices worth a watch ,

Best thing about the posters,,,,, no fancy dress,,,, no vests and no flares,,,,

We wore the fashion of the day not fancy dress clown outfits

I mean, like, err, there were lots of flares and vests though....................................

If you look at the posters carefully apart from the girl in full circle skirt no one is in flares and vest with badges on their vests...remember in 80 to 84   We all wore jeans or pegs with a white belt and a smart shirt,  think about what you wore at oddfellows, cleethorpes winter Gardens etc. Never saw you in flares or a vest with patches on. Remember you in a grandad shirt lol.

I am referring to the person who goes out now with 40 inch flares and a vest. That was fashionable in 73 maybe 74. But now to me it looks wrong.  If I went out in a 90s shell suit it would look wrong as well..

Sorry if I offended you.

I wasn't aware that he had passed on

i just knew him on here as Godz aka  @Godzilla

Was wondering where he was the other day, I  must have missed the references to his store etc

A long time and a much valued member, have moved his account to our 'passed on' group

Nothing but sad news nowadays, RIP Godz

It would take far more than that to offend me Mick

I obviously know you - but which Mick are you. 🫢

Confidentially like, and I wouldn't want to be outed, but I wore a pair of denim bags to the Birmingham Locarno once.
