Great write up and a real treat to see the video (thanks Pete)

Steve

Really enjoyed reading that thanks!..Was only listening again to this LP yesterday and wondering what the story was with the band and label etc, sadly like so many that never had the opportunity to do more. What a legacy though with this one truly great album.

That was a fascinating read, Thank You.

Great in-depth article ....Magic

well done Dave top man

Brilliant stuff Chalky, 'Think About It Girl' was massive when the album first appeared..

Thanks Pete but Dave did all the hard work and Pete Smith converted the video so we could watch it.  I did the easy bit :D

Hey Chalky

Your easy bit is a hard bit to techno phobe like me !

Now Pete really needs a special mention, a staunch 60's maniac who selflessly had to wade through hour after hour of modern soul to transfer the tape. Mind you someone mentioned that they'd seen him walking through Wombourne bare chested apart  from a red leather waistcoat and a gold medallion while whistling the theme music from 'Shaft' so there's hope that he's finally crossing over to the dark side !

Hey Chalky- Fantastic Article. I am researching rights holders for a song by The Solid Solutions, would you happen to know any contacts?

@Louise

It was a windup doctored pic. Ian’s a nice guy and he liked a windup, I remember being with him when he had convinced a couple of hip hop breaks collectors that a Sesame st LP had amazing breaks on it and they spend the next 20:minutes trying to find them lol

lest we forget he was a graphic designer…
