I know it's considered a bit desperate by some to thank promoters for dj spots, but I really do want to thank Karen and Maria for letting me be part of the wonderful Boomerang Experience! Such a great 'up for it' crowd and so many friends made it feel like dj'ing a private party!!
I arrived just after 8 to find the bar and restaurant vrtually empty. Following the music into the room I realised why...because everyone was in here and already dancing. My plans for a downtempo 9.00 set while everyone had a drink and caught up, went quickly out of the window as Maria and Arthur continued to fill the floor and people continued to arrive. Fantastic surprise to see the VaVaVoom/ Runaway love posse up from that London, walk through the door, (big hugs to you all), and great to catch up with my mate Jon Bradley who i've been knocking about with since I was eleven (albeit with a 20 year gap somewhere in the middle).
Musically, as good as it was socially and truly great to Hear Andy Whitmore play some absolutely stunning stuff in both his sets (really hope that you post a playlist Andy, because there were so many things I wanted to ask you about but didn't get chance...that Herman Hitson ....WuuuuFF!!!) and made me wish we could hear you more often.
Just a fantastic fantastic night and as has been said, long may Boomerang continue!
