Dave Dave. It's the Widnes bridge. My Dad helped build it and he was from Widnes so it's the Widnes bridge. will the Runcorn immigration control let me in with a work permit, thought just a P45 was all that's required. Philt 1,545 Posted March 9, 2016 We're on again in three weeks, blimey! Doesn't seem two mins since Christmas and Joan's birthday bash. First Grumpys of 2016 then and it's looking like another goodie; loads of interest from folk far n wide. George S guesting too; brilliant LOL I'd be about 17/18 and asking him to play stuff last time I was in a venue he was djing at so it'll take me back a bit! Carl, Dave, Joan and myself filling-in the gaps as per. Here's to another cracking night. Link to comment

Townman 38 Posted March 31, 2016 (edited) No problem, I live local so thought I would offer up some alternative choices for accommodation, I am the organiser of Beechwood Soul, which is also in Runcorn I must try to get to one of these at Grumpy's myself one night, Just in case people don't know with the building of the new Mersey gateway (Bridge) Runcorn and Widnes are both experiencing major road closures, so I would advise anybody travelling to check their route, to the venue the worst affected will be anyone who comes from the Northwich or Preston Brook transport route into Runcorn as the central expressway is partially closed so you will need to follow signs to Halton Lea and follow the road around the Shopping city before re joining the central expressway and taking the 1st slip road down to Boston Ave then take the 1st right onto Halton Road Grumpy's is about a mile along on the right ;-) ;-) ;-) Edited April 1, 2016 by townman 2 Link to comment
