Can't wait, Sean/Karl it's an honour to do a Lp set at the bat cave and be sharing the decks with such a fantastic lineup of dj's............... awesome.

Will be starting the night off with a selection of Lp only, cover versions and underplayed tunes.

I'll be there with bitten down nails and a large bag of pampers lol.

Willie

The best of luck with it! If anyone can make a success of it - it is you two.

Looking forward to it immensely

yes I will second that joan!!!

now then jan 22nd rings a bell, thinks we may come lol xx

yep hee !!!!!! there is a god  really looking forward to this one

I've been wanting to hear Fred & Cliff play again as I've only heard them once which was memorable - as are all the DJ's on that lineup... I'm going to pencil this one in and hope that everyone who's able to support you does and those that aren't able leave you alone to promote freely and without malice. It's about the music after all

Great news and a fantastic line up for the first night.

I'm sure it will get the support it deserves.

In the diary, if only to see Will in his pampers.

Well done Shorny and Karl.

In the hands of two of the best guys on the scene, this can only succeed.

Good luck Sean and Karl. Four nights a year is perfect, keep it special. Put me down as a regular.

this is fantastic news.........we shall of course be in attendance....well done sean & karl....two fellas who understand this place atb tezza & jan

What a great bit of news

Even more so because it really looks like you're going to make Burnley a 'not to be missed' night. Four times a year means each one will have a real buzz not just on the night itself but in the build up to it as well, as a monthly nighter it was too easy to think 'doesn't matter if I miss it this time, I'll go next month instead'. But it's a long gap between visits if you miss one now and I think that will really encourage people to make the effort to get there, which hopefully will mean it's a packed night and electric atmosphere everytime.

Knowing you two guys fairly well it's clear that the only reason you're doing this is down to your passion for the music and in particular for the spirit of the 'Burnley Bat Cave' that Phil originally created. Would have been great if Phil had opted to join you in this, despite a few personal fall outs between Phil and myself I will always say that as the promoter of Burnley he did a superb job and built something special for everyone that went.

With Sean and Karls' enthusiasm, DJ line ups like the one for January and the same sound system used by Phil this is going to be something special and I'm looking forward to it already.......there will be a car load of us making the journey up from Coventry without doubt :lol:

Looking forward to this allready.

I'm sure me and the Gloucester boys will be attending

well done sean and karl

x x

Ladies please! show a little respect for a decrepid old guy !!

I reckon running just 4 times a year is what this venue always needed , and think you guys will hit the floor running

Karl Heard...musician, DJ and now a promoter....is there no end to this mans talents

Bet he's shit in the sack mind.......

Good luck with this one guys, it may even tempt me to attend as it looks a good lineup, with the right folks promoting it who know what the venue's about.

Well, firstly I'd like to thank you all for your kind posts and best wishes, they are very much appreciated.

Now then, Karl has the thankless task of booking and organising the DJ's. Being the kind of bloke he is, he has already sorted the DJ times. (These are his words, not mine)smile.gif

10:00 Willie West. (33rpm Wind Breaker) You may be surprised, quite a collection in the 12"

11.00 Sean Haydon. (The Wolverhampton Wart Hog) Making a name with great taste and play box to match.

12:00 Stu Bennet (The Burnley Bison) What a collection (and for years). Loves it!

1:00 Joan (The Princess of Preston, via Luton airport) Only PURE soul will do...With passion and a massive smile of course.

2:00 Danny Price (Goliath on Acid). Great Taste in Raw Thumping Nighter tunes.

3:00 Cliff Camfield (The Legend is back!) Nothing this bloke doesn't know about this music...Had the lot and knows how to lay em down.

4:00 Karl Heard (The Thundering Wildebeest) Loves it so much, he just can't keep still...Funk edged Northern, not for the feint hearted!

5:00 Fred Kroll (Sweet as a box of sugar coated marshmallows) Never sold a record...Wow, what a collection.

6:00 Hopefully, the worst bit of the night!!!

This has cheered me up .......I'm so happy that The Burnley Bat Cave is back

Here's a draft of the flyer for January

MY ONLY QUESTION IS BROTHER SEAN IS WHAT TIME DOES THE SOUL BUS LEAVE FROM WOLVO, ABSOLUTE CLASS BROTHER......

Makes complete sense to me, sorting the DJ times before booking the DJ's. Shows there's a lot of thought going into it. I know someone that used to do a whole years worth of DJ times before booking the DJ's (Not me honest!) My lifts already booked with John 'n' Jen. As has already been said - four times a year can only be beneficial, more folk will make the effort (Myself included)

Best of luck with this.

All the best,

Len.
