June 22, 201113 yr it looks like the copy offered on here, in the sales section a few months back ... along with the other shrine titles. the same seller I think
June 22, 201113 yr And if i remember correctly, took some undeserved sh*t on that thread, re:quality of Shrine titles.Good luck with the sale.
June 22, 201113 yr It is the same copy that was offered on here. I got a couple of the Shrines off him and they wewre, if anything, better than described. Phil
June 22, 201113 yr I rescued it of Keb before he had chance to cue burn it he had bought it of Jim Wensiora for £300 think he got it of Kev Roberts
June 29, 201113 yr So how many known copies of this one are out there? anyone know roughly please?probably virtually all over here now.
June 29, 201113 yr These are all from a really nice guy in Detroit who has some nasty health problems and is letting a lot of things go to help with treatment bills, if you check the other Ebay sales under the same name you will see some cool stuff
June 29, 201113 yr if you check the other Ebay sales under the same name you will see some cool stuff Damn straight! https://shop.ebay.com/royalpunkness/m.html?_trksid=p4340.l2562 he may not have Shirley Edwards, but he's got some mouth watering stuff!
June 29, 201113 yr Is it me only, none of his soundfiles work ? Think it's you mate, working okay here..
June 29, 201113 yr Think it's you mate, working okay here.. Ta even the divshare ones are not working for me
June 30, 201113 yr others are... Les Chansonnettes = $1631.24 Epsilons = $253.26 Jimmy Armstrong = $262.01 Leroy Taylor = $249.39 Lin da & Vistas = $242.75
June 30, 201113 yr Anyone see what the others ended at? Bill Dennis at $7,866.00. but only because the second high bidder had 7700 sth in...if not it would have been 3500 sth USD judging from the next bid in line....
June 30, 201113 yr am surprised that bill dennis finished almost as high as j.d. bryant. might be rarer but it's a poor tune compared to IWBCK. but as marc alreay pointed out, it would have been less than $4.000 w/out 2nd bidder. chansonettes isn't that far off the mark is it?
June 30, 201113 yr i'm lost here ! I thought that's how auctions worked - two or more bidders bidding against each other?

Edited June 30, 201113 yr by Marc Forrest
June 30, 201113 yr yeah, tuff price, but werent the last copies up for sale all around 1K GBP ? $1631 is just over £1k. Listed one for Andy around that figure a while back.
June 30, 201113 yr i'm lost here ! I thought that's how auctions worked - two or more bidders bidding against each other? Sure, that's how auctions work. But we're looking at the individual bids that were placed. And therefore w/out 2nd highest bidder bill dennis would have closed at around $3.700 instead of $7.800.

And therefore w/out 2nd highest bidder bill dennis would have closed at around $3.700 instead of $7.800. but it wasn't without 2nd high bid so totally irrelevant arguement. Thats like saying if buyer "A" had Pm'ed you first for one of your sales instead of buyer "B" then buyer "A" would have bought it Regardless of personal taste (I actually like it) it is a very rare record, seen more JB Bryant than Bill Dennis.
June 30, 201113 yr Regardless of personal taste (I actually like it) it is a very rare record, seen more JB Bryant than Bill Dennis. Agreed, in fact I prefer it!!

Chalky, I stated a fact not an argument. And argument for what? There wasn't anything to argue about? I just think that having a closer look at Bill Dennis bidding history is interesting. Only two bidders think it's worth more than 3.6K. Seems like both were very desperate to get the record, one a tad more than the other. That's all. Your buyer A/B analogy doesn't fit in what I said.

Your buyer A/B analogy doesn't fit in what I said. either way you look at it it's irrelevant, just one bid counts the winning one. I personally wasn't too surprised to be honest it went so high, it is a rare record and not all collectors are after the "quality" as some seem to be, I personally think the quality is right up there.
June 30, 201113 yr So do we know who the second bidder was on the Bill Dennis ? Maybe I should offer him my copy Andy
June 30, 201113 yr Bill Dennis one of those 45s you either 'get' or you don't. But some of those are the best ones!
June 30, 201113 yr either way you look at it it's irrelevant i'd agree chalky, and people always seem to forget that when a snipe is set to go in at the last second if it's below the 2nd highest bid it doesnt even register at all so there could easily be more bidders than people think Edited June 30, 201113 yr by wrighty
