Hi There

I found out today my very best friend Nige Shaw(Heavenly Blocked) is in Hospital!

He's be ing monitored for severe chess pains and has fluid on his lungs

Hes is ok at the moment and doing as hes told!

A lot of you know Nige personaly or through Soul Source hes known on the Scene all over!

If you would like to express your good wishes to him through this post i will make sure he knows you are thinking of him

I hope like me you wish him the quickest of recoveries and hope to see him back on the scene ASAP

Just spoke to Nige, I told him having a heart attack was a piss poor excuse for missing me playing Rock and Roll He sounds fine, although obviously he isn't, his latest is that if he is out of hospital by good friday he is still DJing at Steam on sunday, silly devil

Anyway he is laughing and joking as usual and trying to get the young nurses to bring him a PC

15 gallons wont be enough !! Just spoke to Nige and he phoned me, i have only just found out, will be going tomow night 6.30 - 8 if anyone fancies coming along, travelling from pontypridd. He is still joking as usual but will be in hospital for some time. Anyway mate all our love from michelle and me.

Nige just rang to say that he's going to be in there slightly longer than he expected, they want to do some tests so he's gotta stay put.

Michelle and I visited Nige last night, he is good spirits but will be in hospital for some time yet, he is trying to get on hospital radio to DJ and a copy of pete mckenna's nightshift (life at the casino) was spotted in the corner, having a crafty read. he is dying to get back on soulsource but the nurses will not allow him, but you know how crafty Nige is, so i am sure it will not be long before he's back on. Good to Jason bessant popping him to see Nige when we was there. he is really chuffed that so many people have posted messages.

Just back from visiting Nige, telling his usual crap jokes now so must be feeling better

Mark White popped into visit while I was there so we hi-jacked Mr Shaw, stuck him in a wheelchair and took him off to the hospital caff for a coffee, and a very jolly time we had too Lovely to see you Mark

Just want to add that Nige is overwhelmed by all your good wishes, and really appreciates all the phone calls and visits, doing him more good than his medicine at the moment, so thank you to you all

you can read all the forum posts via most modern mobile phones

there's a wap site at m.soul-source.co.uk

which is a bit clunky but can read all public posts

dunno score on phones in hospitals but may be an option

if havent got a clue how to get internet on phone

get someone to post your mobile make and will see if can get a easy how to guide

and send it ya

Now then Nige....Lets have less of this I'll be out at the weekend talk.

I had a heart attack in 1996 I was in CCU for 10 days...then a week in a normal ward.

I was discharged on tuesday.... That weekend I did Cleethorpes Weekender...including the obligatory swim in the pool on Sunday night.

Looking back...I can honestly say...it was one of the stupidest most idiotic things I've ever done.

Please get yourself completely well before venturing out...You know it makes sense

The old boy was in good spirits and has got the nurses wrapped round his little finger,we had agood laugh and nicked a wheel chair to visit the canteen for coffee.I took him some magazines I knew he'd appreciate along with the Daily Sport .....

Had a call from Nige this morning and he's in great spirits ... or rather he was drinking them Sends his best to all and can't quite believe how everyone has rallied round for him ... big thanks to Lyndsey, Jason and Nige ... he'll know tomorrow whether or not he'll be in for a by-pass and will be moved to Bristol Royal Infirmary if he is to have one. Nige can get on SS some evenings as the his hareem of nurses let him use the ward PC .. I personally think he's just having a rest

Plus hes not being released from hospital until after the operation .

He is overwelmed by all the responce to his illness and cant thank all you guys who have psted and or visted enough

There wa a collection for him at the STEAM all niter on SUN nite amd when i have counted it all up i will post how much was raised for the young scallywag!!

If your down that way and know Nige please go and see him as he is SO pissed off with being trapped in the hospital
