Thought it would be a good idea to post scans, pics, or just name the records that dropped through the letterbox or you have bought somewhere.

I thought it would be good idea to see what we are all buying - it doesn't matter f it is £1 or £cost a fortune, just post it here so we can all see what we managed to get and may a few words on why we bought it?

Moderaters can advise if it is a good thread or not.

I will get the ball rolling with two that came today (Scans below)

1. Young Holt Limited "California Montage" Brunswick USA DEMO - well chuffed, have a stocker, but wanted the demo!

2. Gloria Jones "Tainted Love" USA Champion - label is knackered, vinyl plays great and is in VG++ condition. I bought as I cannot afford a Minty one so got this one for £20 so I can play on original vinyl in my soul do at my house!

The only reason I heard it was that the labels are the wrong way round on mine

Bought a bunch of 45's at the record show including a bunch of psyche promo's at $2 each, this was amongst them, never heard it before

Came through the post today plays mint 200

Loved this back in the day and still love it today. Great dance record with great lyrics.

Peter

House call on the way home from work offered a box of 500 45's for $150. It was as it said, a box of 45's, most with no  sleeves and mostly pop but amongst them were the following:

Gene Chandler - Think Nothing About It - Constellation promo

R Dean Taylor - Ghost in My House - VIP

Ikettes - Beauty Is Just Skin Deep - Canadian Pompeii

$10 for the 3 and I have to say I am loving The Ikettes - much more Northern than other versions?

Been after this one a little while, finally got one on the way. Great girlie dancer.

One of my all time faves!

Before I found the original, I bought a boot, and it had the wrong song on it! (some other girlie track) which I have yet to identify!

Didn't get it yet, so fingers crossed it's not one of those!

Did some digging at the record store I work at today, the collection of an old DJ that just came in. A looooooooot of shite disco and 70s pop, but a few gems, amongst them this nice white demo. Quite beat, including what looks like a pressing error on both sides, but the a-side plays through ok, and the price was right: £0.

A few nice bits that arrived in the post this week:

Lorez Alexandria - I don't want to hear it - Pzazz

Dynamic Concept - California - Power Exchange

Mark V Unlimited - Gone - Sagport

Dolls - The reason why - Toy

Fran Jeffries - Gone now - Monument

Frank Furter & his hot dogs - Imitation - Uptown

Mary Love - Lay this burden down - Modern.........Father's day treat

spelling mistake

Little latin-edged cheapie in the mailbox today.

 Sorry, double-post.

Received  this morning. Bought off EBay,  I was looking through a sellers listings and looked this up on YouTube. For less than £25 including  postage  from the USA, thought why not.

Doc and the Interns - Baby I Know - Now Records.

just a couple for me

June Monday - Your Kind Of Loving (Scepter)

Pat Powdrill - Do It (Downey)

Here's a few I had recently -

Love Committee - Am I Wasting Time / Heaven Only Knows, Chuck Welch - Sugar To Dirt, this is a spare copy, The Rivingtons - You're Gonna Pay / I Don't Want A New Baby & Charlie "Chuck" Welch - Here I Am Again both sides so I assume it's a promo copy as my "stock" has the excellent Destination Heartbreak on the flip.  It should also be noted that Chuck Welch - Sugar To Dirt also has Destination Heartbreak on the flip but it is a totally different take and very poor.
