RIP Denise. Lots of great songs over the years but this is my favourite

'Trapped By A thing Called Love'- one of the great 'soul' records, rest in peace Denise.

It's such a shame that generally in this country she will be known for "Don't Mess With My Toot Toot". RIP Denise.

Come to Bed and Here I am are a couple of my favourites. She became a really big deal to me when I started collecting Malaco at the start of the eighties.

Saw her on a bill with Mosley and Johnson, Johnnie Taylor and Bobby Bland circa 87. You think these people will go on for ever but hopefully their music will.

Such sad news

One of my favs- R.I.P

So very sad to hear from a wonderful real and true soul artist. From 60s northern to 70s dancers , ballads, deep and pop hits this lady had them all under her belt. R.I.P Denise.

One of my favourite artists first introduced to me by Sgt Milt Kemp on AFN Radio with this track which will always be my favourite. RIP

This is sad news, I had the pleasure of meeting Denise a number of times in visits to the USA as well as interviewing her for my radio show on Kiss FM -London back in the day. An incredible talent, a lady of strong character, who didn't suffer fools. My fave from Denise Lasalle is the 60s release 'A Love Reputation' on Tarpon / Cadet (USA). A superb singer who will be surely missed to those of us who favor the real deal. My condolences go out to her family and friends. R.I.P Denise Lasalle
