A new year, a new photography thread! Thanks to everyone who's participated in these threads, whether as a photographic contributor, a commenter, or as someone who just pops in from time to time to admire the latest offerings. The Soul Source photography thread now enters its sixth year (well, technically it started life in April of 2013, but who cares?), which I think is amazing.

As I mentioned in the last post of the 2018 thread, its longevity is entirely down to you and your continued involvement, so thank you one and all for making this a real highlight for so long. Cheers, and here's to another photo-filled year!

I also adore this kind of fuchsia color.

Here's my "animal traction motorcycle", Colnago with all the complements Campagnolo from 1984. The landscape is the sandstones called "Formación areniscas de Peraltilla" (a geological denomination) between Albelda and Tamarit de Llitera (Aragón):

Very nice your bike also. Sadly, these classic design is totally "vintage" today. The mine had originally the "Colner" logo (is a trademark by Colnago) and I changed to the Colnago logo. I likes the word, the typography and the four leafs clover more than the "Colner" one.

Yes vintage they are , but a superb ride and a great pedigree.

Odd selection of pics from me today, this was at the ‘Hassleblad’ stand at the Photography show at the NEC recently,  Apollo Hasselblad used by the crews in training. Don’t think this actual one made it into space but it was a lovely thing to gaze at...  photo to give context below,  proper boys stuff... I love it

Dave.  17 th April is the earliest that I have ever seen them in the north west .

I can see every summer swifts and alpine swifts on my hometown (next to Tarragona), this spring around the first week April (!). Every time when I come to the Prepyrenaican Mountains coinciding with these days I see the Egyptian vultures when they get from Africa.

They were a week or so late here, but ought to be with you 20th maybe.  Lots of them all of a sudden, so I think some were probably heading up the east coast of Spain rather than the west coast lot that go via Huesca and then across Portugal.  Saw a male brambling this morning while walking the dog, no camera with me though.

Ladybird porn.

Peacock Butterfly.  I think Steve,  no expert though mate

Here's an example of religious ramanic architecture (Lombard style) so prolific in Spain: Santa Maria de la O (Sopeira, Aragón in the limit with Catalonia and next to Pont de Suert. In the background the fantastic Sant Cugat / Sant Gervàs cliffs (more than 700 m!):

No me neither. It landed just as we got back from walking the dogs, more or less in the same place as the ladybirds.

Another prepyrenaican défile in the administrative limit between Aragón (left) and Catalonia (right). The picture is from 1979 (!!). Today, there's another path 50 m higher because this old path can be inundated by the reservoir located at south
