I was at the Shed in Nottingham last night, I was talking to Sandi who is also on this show she is a smashing dancer, and was a regular at Wigan, from Nottingham we wish her well on live TV,

A LOOK INTO HE NORTHERN SOUL SCENE ON TOMORROW'S SHOWIF ANYBODY'S INTRESTED. I'LL NEVER FORGET THE FILMING OF THIS ENGLAND AT THE CASINO AND COULD'NT WAIT FOR THE FILM CREW TO FINNISH DOING THERE THING AS ANYODY WHO WASTHERE THAT NIGHT WILL TELL YOU THE MAIN LIGHTS WERE ON SO THEY COULD DO THE FILMING. WHEN THEY HAD FINNISHED IN BETWEEN 05-06 am AND THE LIGHTS WERE TURNED DOWN [ dark & seedy] THE NORM FOR THE ALLNIGHTERS THERE WENT OUT A LOUD CHEER. NOW IT WAS DOWN TO THE SERIOUS STUFF AND ONTO THE FLOOR.THE FLOOR WAS ONLY HALF FULL DURING THE FILMING. PROBABLY THE LAST EFFORT TO KEEP THE SCENE UNDERGROUND AS A LARGE MAJORITY DID'NT WANT THE FILM CREW INTO THE CASINO. BUT IN TRUTHNESS THE SCENE HAD ALREADY BEEN INFILTRATED AND ANYBODY & EVERYBODY WANTED TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH IT.EVEN TODAY I REMEMBER THE FLOOR GOING TO HALF FULL TO FULL ON THE SWITCH OF A LIGHT. AS ROY HAMMILTON SAID - JUST ANOTHER FOOL LEAVING THE SCENE.

Sandi lives in the beeston area, but i do not know history, just a very nice personality and great dancer, she has just returned from Africa where she assisted in care work with children in need, catch a look at the show see if you recognise her, sorry i cannot help more, when i see sandi at our next soul night i will ask her,

last time was about 6 years ago on a Saturday afternoon in Hockley Nottm, good to see him and he looked well.

Ain't seen Sandi since late 80s when I was going out / lived with one of her mates, I'll watch tonight - although I don't care much for that Ogrady character

he used to come down to Annesley about 8 or 9 years ago ( and other local do's ) still dancing as well as ever, then just seemed to vanish.

Know what you mean about Paul Ogrady too.

Say what you like about him, I know he's a bit sarcastic and all that....but he used to be a suedehead during the 70's and is into Northern Soul / Motown / ska & Reggae so that makes him ok in my book!

That was a disgrace and everyone involved should be ashamed. I suggest booking a venue in Coventry, where Russ can dj and we can send all those participants to attend.
