I've got an RD catalogue from about 85 - when it was like really small size but about 50 pages...you can borrow it if you want

i threw out loads of lists last year and immediately wished i hadn't

double edged sword though when you see things you bought are sometimes worth less now and also look at all the other things you passed on!

I found Andy Spencers selling up list circa 1990 too many to list and it was hand written so i got some of the interesting bits and listed them below.not every body got a chance at them because he sold lots before it went out but still listed them and crossed them out. I rember him phoning me and saying you can have these Tery rider ,tony parker and Carl fortnum can have the others. i rember fighting with Nigel parker for the Yvonne Vernee what Nige didnt realise he had 2 copies so he paid a bit more .

(Nate Evans - Main Squeeze) It was, it was about £125 then but I'd never heard of it so just thought it was soul pack junk.

Someone did ring me and tell me, but I let him have it for the cheap price anyway..

Just need to put it in perspective; when I joined the army in 1976, 5 quid was a third of a weeks wages. Buying a record for £20 was a major investment which is why I didn't :D

If you were to take 2 weeks wages now and spend it on a record, that would be the rough equivalent of dropping £25 in 1974. We still had 10 bob notes then!

Got an old Rob Smith list with Parliaments - Heart Trouble at 50p

They're the painful ones, not necessarily big rarities but ones you could have easily afforded at the time :(
