Regards, Dave On a similar theme, Richard Searling used to have a crafty tipple at the Casino some nights and I can well remember him introducing John Leach as "Put that whiskey down". Also introducing Ben Zine as "Village of paraffin". Comedy was different in those days.

November 10, 201014 yr Remember a club called The Car Wash, somewhere in London years ago - The regular funky inhabitants were exiting as our lot were turning up, though inevitably a few pish takers were ligging about. November 10, 201014 yr Memorable for me: Butch at Keele ended a run of New Orleans labelled tracks with the words "back on dry land". Not long after hurricane Katrina. Ted Massey introduced a song with "One for us big lads" and played You're On Top Girl Most memorable for me was Brian Rae at Brum Locarno, always played You Been Away and always introduced it by simply saying "Rubin"... (cue storming opening bars).

November 13, 201014 yr I have him on live tape at Glenrothes 1st Anniversary mid 80's plugging it five times in his spot as the Fabulous Impacts , each introduction is full of energy and zest for this new discovery , on the the last play he just plainly says - " FUCKIN' MASSIVE !!!!! " as only HE can and the place erupts !!!! , the hairs still stand up on the back my neck every time I hear this record spun , happy days indeed
