:hatsoff2: HI ALL DOES ANYONE FOLLOW NOGGERS DAILY PLAY, IF SO??

As i play records every day, often I think when was this last played or has this been played or do you know this, well lets here your recommended record of the day, keep it to just 1 45 and 1 LP.

My LP of the day is MOCKINGBIRD INEZ & CHARLIE FOX - SUE ILP 911 **** Current value about £50+

Great LP club soul class, every track is a winner and will bring the MOD in you to the top, recommended.

45 of the day, most of you will have so play it as son as you can as i still cant do the sound clip thing.

from the pen of BERRY GORDY, MARV JOHNSON - DON'T LEAVE ME - LONDON HL-T9013

1859 THIS WAS RELEASED? And it was one of the 1st SOUL records plus TAMLA,

this is a great record and a must have for any young DJ to play and to learn about the roots of SOUL

value £car boot cheap :shhh: rate *****

How this one has stayed under the radar for so long is a mystery to me. Ok its motown and its by one of the worlds best know bands but still............ If this is not a perfect cross over dancer ...

  • THE ADMIRATIONS 'Don't leave me'...Together with KEV'S previous posting, got to be two of the greatest 'cheapos' ever! Just spun'em back to back, fantastic stuff!

  • cracking track by Geno (Gino) Washington "I'll Be Around" came out twice on Atac steve https://youtu.be/Z9WvNRiV9Tc

Freddie Hughes "Gotta keep my Bluff "

Been after one of these myself , a great cheapie , what a tune for a chill out session ...

Depends if you only see danceable records as being uptempo beaters...good job you're not the 'Gatekeeper' because I can immediately think of countless classic records which are no faster than this, which would clearly have never got off the block!......I'm not saying bang in the middle of an uptempo set obviously but if there was no place on the scene somewhere for what you call ' A great Soul record/tune' - and you are indeed right about that - like this, then it would be very sad... :hatsoff2:

More Girly warblings from the other box..Love it

https://youtu.be/FiDfN9nUwpk

The divine LOLLIPOPS, my all time number one Girly Northern tune, still rips me to pieces, a record that just oozes charm and beauty....defo in my set today!

Overlooked oldie from the Vibrations "Keep on keeping on" Okeh, Over shadowed by other releases on the label, and not at all rare, Maybe time to be reactivated ?

Is it just me or is there a 'crossover friday' vibe going on here?

no harm in that though great record btw

Reminds me of trips to Europe and hearing this for the first time...

12:06 so here's todays.... Loving this thread...

Got a copy on the way in the post...........great thread

Another from the Okeh stable uptempo R&B belter and cheep too

Here is one that i will be playing this coming Sat at Ghetto Soul in Southampton

I think anything by Otis Leavill(e) is a must! superb choice. Don't think I have ever heard a bad track by the man, and if ever anyone deserved a long overdue comp. of his work it is this man. Otis Leavill Cobb, born in Dewey Rose, this native from Georgia was a Chicago legend to me. A boxing buddy of Major Lance as well I believe?
