Not too much was ever known about the group, though I believe they were only a 'studio creation' and probably consisted of Robert Dobyne (lead vocals), Robert Staunton & Robert Walker with the Andantes on back up.

Isley brothers sure is a whole lotta woman has to be my top choice any of the JJ Barnes tracks, touch of Venus actually any of the unreleased tracks from the cellarful compilation CDs . Anyway from what I hear there's a box set vol2 due out next easter and a vol3 after that so we may get our wishes, but wish they would hurry up have been waiting years for this, and if they don't get there fingers out I could have popped me clogs lol

Arthur Adams let me love you tonight. Off a very obscure us only Motown cd. Decent crossover

Tammi Terrell tears at the end of a love affair. So good to be relegated to just an lp.

Barbara Mcnair - It Happens Every Time

Disc no 5 on box set so your wish has already been granted

Paul Williams "Once you had a heart" from Smudger's original post is so good, I can't find the words to describe it

Kev

I'd have had to include Suspicion and Crying In The Night but also Carolyn Crawford "Until You Came Along", I don't think she ever made anything less than brilliant for Motown

Tough call, but if you had my balls in a vice, this is my favourite Originals record, from the pen of Marvin, this is the album version on the fantastic "Portrait" set

I was thinking the same Kev, I've never heard that before but it's flippin' amazing.

"Crying Time" - Brenda Holloway

Hi Pete

Not to these ears, awesome

Kev

Different strokes and all that

I appreciate that not everyone likes the same thing.  But it sounded like track 6 side 2 of an album.

Why comment on records you do not like , its all about opinions .

As for the last comment I much doubt it.

Dunno, because it's a discussion forum maybe?  If it's all about opinions - why can't I have one?

Just thought people were posting up records they thought that deserved a 7 inch release in their view .

It was only because he said he couldn't find words to describe it, so I thought of one for him.

T'was a joke.

Never mind.  I'll be off.

Would like to see Jimmy Ruffin, On the Avenue ( in the neighbourhood ) and the Holland and Dozier ,On the Avenue, ( in the neighbourhood ) , back to back .

Fantastic Four "If This World Were Mine" and Gladys Knight and the Pips "I'm' Gonna Make You Love Me" would make a nice 45 coupling I reckon

Cheers Paul
