R.I.P.  Don Davis  a very sad loss indeed had a great influence on me since buying Rare Stamps JJ Barnes/Steve Mancha ,Carla Thomas Memphis Queen,Boy meets Girl Various Artist and Darrell Banks Here to stay albums in the legendary Woolworths E.M.I .deletion sale late 60's. So many great tunes

RIP Don. Massive figure in Detroit soul. Still making great records in the 70s too.

Sorry to hear that.  Other than The Motowners, The Pied Pipers, Ed Wingate, Ollie McGloughlin and Mike Hanks, and Popcorn Wylie were the main producers of Detroit Soul.  And Don was there at Motown, Thelma, Golden World, Solid Hitbound, and took Detroit Soul to Memphis.
