"Once you had a heart". An unreleased track he recorded for Motown, years later released on cd. Incredibly talented guy who never fulfilled his full potential.

Hard to pick one track as a favourite as all his lead vocal tracks are superb. As a showcase for Paul's talent I'd go for Last One Out Is Brokenhearted issued on the Lost and Found CD of unissued recordings.

The YT video gives some info on the track. Also worth a listen is the extended version someone has made.

For more of Paul watch the live video of For Once In My Life from T.C.B TV special on YT.

Thanks for this info Rick.

Hey Girl from the LP. The Temptations cover of the Freddie Scott classic on Colpix. Paul Williams just oozes soul on this.

If it's nice play it twice 😉 Honor to Chalky. The one tune by them that got a lot plays home lately while spinning 45's.

This is the one Jim, all contributions to this thread are obviously brilliant, due to the brilliance of Paul as a vocalist, but "Once you had a heart" totally blows me away, every time I hear it

My favourite group and my favourite track, lead by Paul Williams.

Never been 100% that he killed himself. Talk of foul play. Sad loss of a tortured soul.
