Righteour Brothers - Souled Out. You have the superb "It's Up to you" for starters but there are 3 or 4 other great tracks on there.

The Lifestyle album is great, I reviewed it as a new release in Black Echoes.

'This Dream' is one of my all-time favourite ballads and I always thought 'Katrina' should have crossed over.

100% never on a 45 mate. Interesting that they put a sticker on the sleeve saying that it contained the hit single I'm Your Pimp - but it didn't come out on a 45

Great thread and some great LP's to be collected and discovered I think. I Just love some of the cover photos / art works too!

Some of my current faves, first few of which I'm playing out in a few early spots locally:

Archie Bell & the Drells - "When you left heartache began" (Tighten Up LP 1968).

I also love the version of "A Thousand Wonders" which TSU Toronados also recorded for this LP, which I think was a B side to the Spanish only issue of Tighten Up 45 and different tempo to their Ovide issue 45 (much cheaper too on this LP!).

Willie Hutch - "Lucky to be loved by you" (Soul Portrait LP 1969)..Great LP.

Gloria Scott - "A case of too much love making" (What am I gonna do LP 1974)...I think this did actually get a 45 release in Canada? Criminal that this was her only LP as Barry White was apparently too busy on his own work at the time.

Ronnie Dyson - "I want to be where you are" (Love in all flavors LP 1977)

5 Stairsteps & Cubie - "I'm the one who loves you" (Loves Happening LP)...Great alternative version of the Impressions 45 I think.

Willie Hutch - "Hurt so bad"...great version I think / "Let's try it over again" (Season for Love LP 1970)

Curtis Mayfield - "No thing on me" (Super Fly Motion Pic LP 1972).

Bobby King was released on a US Warner 45 - I had about a dozen copies which I sold about 6 or 7 years ago and I've never seen one since

Bobby King would be nice for the 45 box. Thats news to me.

Wish I could afford one of these now , nearly bought one for 50 quid about 15 years ago.

However after having "booked it", the dealer took if off sale and put it on again for 3 x the price.

Agreed My mate's got one, (don't think he'd part with it though) there is a tale that the money invested in the production on this album was a method of laundering drug money and these albums were never promoted... Criminal on both counts!!

Without rooting in the cupboard there is a cracking Esquires LP.....is it on Bunky? Only a few quid as well. Sure there is an LP only track on it.

Also Inez Foxx in Memphis, is one of the tracks LP only as well, good one it is too.

Thanks for the link...I hadn't seen that thread. Bound to be lots of repeats on this one then...but hopefully some new stuff too. Also, the refosoul links don't work on that one, which is a shame.

Anyway, here's another to hopefully keep things going on this one (I'm still trying to get my hands on this original Alice Clark LP if anyone has one for sale?!)...
