Will
I'm trying to identify a record, '60s, male vocal, sounded a little like Billy Stewart. The record included the line "Watch out before..." or very similar, at the beginning of the chorus. The tempo and production reminded me of Pat & the Blenders, "Just because" I heard it played in the Queen Vic at Prestatyn. Any help would be appreciated thanks. Pga1
Not had much time to think, how about 'watch out little girl' invitations or billy Stewart 'look back and smile'. Cheers 1 Link to comment Social source share

Kevinkent
The Holidays - Watch Out Girl Same title but different song to the Embers. Can't hear any Billy Stewart similarity but this one is a tad closer to Pat & The Blenders. - Kev Edited March 15, 2016 by KevinKent 1 Link to comment Social source share
Kjw
Fantastics - High Note sounds similar to Pat & The Blenders 1 Link to comment Social source share
Will
Thanks but I've still not found it. By way of a thank you to all of you who've put the time and effort in to helping me, I'm going to list all of the records that I recall hearing in the smaller rooms at the Prestatyn weekender. I'll add them by way of an edit to the event review I've already posted. Hopefully there'll be some that you don't know / be pleased to be reminded of. I'll be listing over 100 so it should at least be an interesting read for a few minutes. 1 Link to comment Social source share
jocko
The Showmen, No Girl on Jeree, there is a great version, a better version I dare to say, by Billy Stewart. Can't remember if there are any vocal similarities now though. 1 Link to comment Social source share

Tlscapital
If the DJ pitched this one up I could imagine it sounding like 'just because' and the Billy Stewart type-O-singing is already there as: Link to comment Social source share

KevH
Hi Will, Mick H has a tune that I thought sounded like Billy Stewart - "Look back and smile". I even commented on it to Geoff Green at the time. Wasn't at Prestatyn though. Link to comment Social source share

jocko
The Billy Stewart one is Shownen No Girl I think, an old Dean Anderson spin. Link to comment Social source share
