a very quick mention before forget

just sneaked passed the one and a half million posts mark...

which nearly caught me out.... it doesn't seem that long ago that we hit the million

and while on here

as long time members may be aware august is the month when I usually post up something about the anniversary of soul source kicking off and say something like will post some old stuff up

this year marks the 14 years landmark

the sites just a bit older than my youngest son, which means now entering the stroppy teenager phase

as always hats off to all members, its all down to you!

on the numbers thing

400 now show in soul map

which means that 400 can use the

"show events close to me" feature of the event guide

eg

https://www.soul-source.co.uk/calendar?soultype=local-soul-events

if you do want to use this one click lazy feature you do need to enter your location in soulmap

(just a click - type name of town - click affair)

worthwhile doing imo as looking at using the "location" features more in future

of course it makes sense for promoters to enter the map details of events as well as wont show in this otherwise

Everyt time I get a message, read it, then I click NEW POSTS to get back to the forum, it first takes me to new members for some reason and there's always between 1 and 5 new people every time I do this, and I do it every day, so goodness knows how many members there are, must be 5000? Except only about 100 ever post. Shame.

There are 14638 listed members of which 8535 have never put up a post.

There are currently 322 members with in excess of 1000 posts.

i say healthy

dont look at member who aint posted (as its never been a must do) but rather use members who visited as a sort of measure

have occasional clean ups

just looked

over 7400+ individual members visited over last year

15,700 as active but may change

on posting members last time looked

over 1000+ members post every week

of course that was in sept 1999 - nah a couple months ago

those who enjoy stats and such you can view a lot of statty info via the members list (advanced search)

but it only gives forum and members only view and would say its limited if looking at post counts etc

as gallery,events,blogs,comments,articles,refo, etc dont feature

plus guest visits/reads dont come into play when viewing this

as with all these sort of stats info and such can be read many ways

i would and do use the "vibe" more week to week than actual figures

along lines of all time feel good moments or the things that even yet still bring a smile to your face ?

steve cato and his dad be one of the memorable feel good one's for me

the "just got in" posts by some (myself included ) would feature as some of the smile inducers

can think of a fair few more but sure that some of you can tell them better than me

so anyone up for passing on their own feel good or/and smile on your face moments on here....
