Its always nice to get hold of new stuff but even better when there's a bonus on the flip side.

Are there any good value 2 siders out there to be recommended which would fit into the ''30 quid and under'' bracket?

Sixties, seventies, modern, beat ballad, funky - any - but genuine quality 2-siders.

And selling well, more copies will be available from Phil Dick on Wednesday...

Nice opportunity for another shameless plug for our Rhetta Hughes single 'Cry Myself To Sleep' / 'Giving Up My Heartaches' (Shotgun SHOT 107).

The flip side is even better than the A side in my opinion.

We sold out in ten days but more copies will be here on Wednesday...

One for the crossover crew (or should that be two?)

Silk Falling in Love isn't Easy/Come on over Decca 1971

Really enjoyed spending an hour or so listening to some of the sound clips offered and finding some others here and there

Some of them I have, some I know - and these go on the wants list to enjoy hunting around for:

Otis Williams, Voice Masters, Syl Johnson, Sensations, Cleo Randle, Cheers, Otis Leavill

:hatsoff2:

Bernard Williams :D

Not really in your ''30 quid and under'' bracket, maybe for the boot on the right.

BUCKNER BROTHERS - LOVE YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART/ A CHANGE IS GONNA COME - SANLA

FANTAISIONS - UNNECESSARY TEARS/ THATS WHERE THE ACTION IS - ST LAWRENCE

ANOTHER 2 FOR YA

Try "The Exits" You gotta have money & Under the streetlamp on Gemini.

Two classy sides.

Regards

Andy

All eight of the Quiet Elegance singles on Hi, cheap as chips and full of soul. Johnny Moore's Blue Rock stuff wont break the bank either.

Element Experience -Write Your Ticket flip side is Make Yourself At Home, two great Modern Soul tracks.

SWEET DARLING / HELP YOURSELF - BILLY BUTLER - BRUNSWICK

Quality Northern Soul double sider in my opinion! I remember Help Yourself getting plays in Wigan Casino!

Wilson Pickett - Best Part Of A Man/How Will I Ever Know - Wicked. About as good as it gets for a few quid.

Not really in your ''30 quid and under'' bracket, maybe for the boot on the right.

Now then matey,Parliaments top twofer imo.Ann's a great choice too, still prefer 99lbs although Slipped,Tripped has been getting all the action lately.

See you soon :D

Cheers

jimmy holiday. the new breed b/w love me one more time. stomping northern

Precisions - Why Girl / What i want, Drew

B side is far superior in my opinion (moody haunting mid tempo builder that is absolutely class!) but A side is a popular up tempo northern dancer, £15-20 and plenty around

Azza

I'm not great at prices because most of my records were bought in the last century so if this is more than £ 30 then I'm sorry. One side's a Stomper (RA) and t'other (HB) is more in the Stafford style with a slight but catchy Latin feel

Tony Amaro & Chariots - Runnin Around / Hey Baby - Loma 2068.

Edited by purist

Joe Buckman - Right Now / Til The End Of Time - Sepia (think the label number is 3 from memory ? )

Willie Kendricks - Give Me Lots Of Lovin / You Can't Bypass Love - RCA Victor 47-8947 (the WDJ )

lots of Detroit & Pied Piper things are double headers, just find the cheaper ones if that's your style. hth

Spyder Turner- Don't hold back - I can't make it anymore

Al Greene and the Soul Mates- Back up train - Don't leave me

The Precisions- You'll soon be gone - If this is love

Lots of suggestions to check out which I hope to get some more time to do later this week - many thanks and keep em coming - I've already invested in a few new collection additions and they'll soon be onto a new cd for the car

Larry Atkins on Highland 1193

Sounds come and go but "Ain't That Love Enough" still does it for me after all these years. No poppy or girly voices but just full head-on Northern.

Haven't used Refo because they're only part clips

Edited by Dave Turner

A few more...........

montclairs - wait for me - sunburst

Fred Paris & The Restless Hearts-I Can't Satisfy/I'll Be Hanging On Green Sea
