Guest johnny hart
I wish they'd stick to previously unreleased stuff as I have no interest in retrospective single releases of LP tracks. But former Home Sec, one of the aims of the series was to have 45 issues ,which woul fit neatly into your OVO Play Boxes , also in Hi Fi not low brow lp quality [oops ,dont mention that Johnny, I use a one centime on the cartridge,Ukip 5 pence?] PS.Brill contributions enough for vol 4? Russ Vickers
The originals - 'young train' would be a top inclusion ! Yep & then it would be completely knackered as a 'play' record....brilliant, brilliant record, but it has barely scratched the surface with regards to plays. Anways, it did get a release, so hopefully will be left well alone for now. Russ Link to comment Social source share

Agentsmith
I told Richard about the Isley's track in 2009, when the cd anthology was released, so it took the best part of 5 years to finally get to a vinyl conclusion...and fully justified, so much so that we even made contact with one of the original co-song writers of that particular tune, Brian Wells..,who was delighted to see it get released. These box sets are a great idea, even though there have been initial teething problems with quality control, hopefully future release will have overcome that...the Capitol project should be interesting.... As for Vol. 3 ( which quite honestly, probably won't happen...and i doubt universal would take it on without Richard's expertise ) i'd definitely pick: Stevie Wonder - Why Don't You Come Home The Magnetics - Tell Me The Funk Brothers - You Hit Me instr. / Nowhere To Run Brenda Holloway - Cryin Time / All Your Love Marvin Gaye - You're Wonderful ( alt version )/ Lonely Lover / Sweet Thing Supremes - Don't Let True Love Die Kim Weston - Don't Let Me Down / Fancy Meeting You Here Four Tops - Tea House In China Town Martha Reeves & The Vandella's - I Will Follow You Edited March 24, 2015 by AGENTSMITH Link to comment Social source share

Raym
7 perfectly pressed up discs of never before heard top quality dancers one side and heart moving ballads on the other. Can we also have some better looking Motown labels (more like the UK 60s black label) - the ones from box set 1 and the quality (i.e. lack of) on thin vinyl looks cheap and nasty. I never bothered with box set 2 and probably wont bother with any box set 3 if the quality is not there - Berry Gordy, the recording artists and the rest of team at Motown gave us this wonderful music and it is not being given the respect that it deserves.
