I know this sounds daft, regarding a venue we went to and records we listened to in the eighties, but this night was a breath of fresh air. At the end of the day it was a night of oldies, but the majority were oldies that you just dont hear any more, and the old place still had that magic atmosphere. It was great to see friends and faces from the past who you just do not seem to bump into any more (Derek Greenhoff- knows more in his little finger than most of us will ever know about records). And to see DJ,s who could actually put a set together- Keb, Butch and Guy the pick for me, with Keb just edging it. I had forgot just how polished a DJ he was-Perfect set with humour. Without travelling long distances iam afraid it is not worth the effort getting ready and making the effort to go out. Same old same old, hammered oldies, full of divs and so called DJ,s who should not be allowed on the decks. Most could not put a set together for a 8 year olds birthday party(or maybe they could and be good at it). I think the scene for me is the worst its been for many a year, since The Wilton, Life Line, Thorne and Empty Bottles closed their doors iam afraid its become a waste land(only a few clubs still trying to push things forward). So a big thank you to the promoters for making this possible, and i hope it was a profitable night for all involved.

Well what can you say - Stafford reunion

Was very fortunate to attend all the Niters in the 80s at the top of the world and it was a real memory jerker walking in there one last time

A musical journey of a lifetime captured In one amazing night
To see all my DJing heros ( Keb Darge  Guy Hennigan and Dave Thorley )  all different in their style on the the same stage was a true highlight and very emotional for me.

I danced on the same.spot as I did  41 years ago . No hair now double the weight but still the same brilliant music blasting out the speakers to get the pulses racing just like it was back in the day

Whilst dancing I thought of some of the people no longer with us ( Chris king mad Mick tommo mud Pete Lawson tim Fletcher and Many more  )  and When 'jack Montgomery - dearly beloved ' came on - I was suddenly overcome with emotion - tears were rolling down my cheeks - this mad scene of ours its unique it s special but when you strip it back and it's just amazing music that gets you dancing

Stafford will always be in my heart for many reasons and was glad to be there one more time

As Doug banks Sang - I just kept on dancing

Well done to all involved

Stafford - thanks for the memories - truly top of the world one more time

Thank you to everyone involved in making this happen. I didn't think that you could improve on the 2010 event which was brilliant. Sundays event was of the same qualty, just goes to show Stafford got it right back in the eighties so glad we were able to attend.
