Your quite right, let's be honest romantically to me it's worth more than most people, some think it's crap and so on. To me it's a £500 - £600 record tops as there are hundreds out there, we must have a hundred in Stockport. Can't get anyone to sell it to me though, I once turned down a cracked demo for £15 which played perfect, more fool me they say. Wigan was a cheap night out back then getting the bus from Manchester foR 4p etc, but I've paid up since ha ha

Thinking about it, this was a very slow track for the Casino at a time of ampet - 100 mph based stompers.

Still real quality in my opinion, love this & a Taj Mahal track that I can't remember the title of.

Yep, Germany and Italy under the name John St John. I think I was the first person to speak to him (John Ritson) back in 1990-91(he was trying to buy a copy of their One In A Million 45) and He told me that the groups manager wanted to put out a solo single by him and change his name to John St John, he said no way and as far as he knew, nothing came of it - so the John St John single was issued without his knowledge and I have to admit I was astounded when the first one surfaced.

Don't know if he's still got it but sold mine (M- condition issue) to a certain Mr Jeffries... and it really was flawless. You could always ask.One of the most atmospheric up-tempo blue eyed soul tunes to have graced the scene IMO

Kinda with PK....this tune is part of my NS journey over the decades for sure...it's one of those tunes I can wait for but should kinda have one in the box...but never seem to turn up for some reason. £600 tops for me for a minter!

Agree, very atmospheric in that big main hall, something a bit different from the norm of the day I'd say.

Brian Rae offered one to my mate for a tenner in 79, my mate didn't bother as is wasn't a minter, mistake that me thinks.

I remember it on Rob Wigley's "La Beat" list as an auction item in the late 80s when I was a teenager! Pretty sure from memory the Four Tracks was another auction item on the same list. Where's Rob?!

I picked up YCMI recently on that weird italian EP on the same label as the italian 7". Several tracks each side, presumably a sort of label sampler. Think Pete Smith's had one through his hands...

Yes - remember that issue well and that Chris Savory's CBS soul discography was very far from complete.

He definitely shouldn't have missed that but when I was doing Beatin Rhythm I lost count of the new discoveries we found on CBS, I"m still finding them now even.

This is my current favourite, IT'S NOT NORTHERN AND IT'S NOT SOUL but it's a brilliant, catchy record - give it a chance before you tell me I'm mad.

It's also practically impossible to find...
