Okehdownsouth
JAMES COIT BLACK POWER JOE TEX YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT SHIRELLES LAST MINUTE MIRACLE LAINIE HALL TIME MARCHES ON wish I could go back in a time machine I thought that the thread here was" Forgotten Monsters", not thank God they don't play them anymore! Zed1
I thought that the thread here was" Forgotten Monsters", not thank God they don't play them anymore! James Coit was huge at the time, although I'd agree it hasn't exactly aged well. Joe Tex is a proper 'Northern' Soul dancer, and still sounds fantastic to me 40 years later. The Shirelles and Lanie Hill may not be the best tracks our scene ever produced. but I'd MUCH sooner listen to these than some of the shite that's passed off as Northern Soul today. 2 Link to comment Social source share

Popular Post Flanny
I thought that the thread here was" Forgotten Monsters", not thank God they don't play them anymore! They were monsters for me at the time lots of shite records have been mentioned but 40 odd years ago they all did the biz for those that were there, even though some off of us have moved on for me I wouldn't be were I am now today musically and into so many forms off soul music if it wasn't for those formative years of W.C. 5 Link to comment Social source share
