  1. Happy Birthday Geoff! Hope you're having a great weekend up in that there Bury.
  2. It's great to know that there are still traditional Northern Soul fans around to guide us. I usually go out solo, but if I should find myself at a venue with my wife and we briefly slip into dancing as a couple - please feel free to tap me on the shoulder and put me right. I promise you will only need to do it once.
  3. Just setting off from sunny Gillingham. I haven't checked those northern weather reports so hopefully a snowless journey. This'll be a belter. Yet to be disappointed with this venue, see you later. - Kev
  4. ...part one and part two.......and three if we have time. Oops sorry, Benji beat me to it!
  5. Mmm...anyone tried Bread Sauce with their turkey?
  6. I'm from Northamptonshire and living in Kent. Pam's family are from Yorkshire and Scotland. Both families have always served a choice of Bread Sauce and Cranberry Sauce, or both, with Christmas dinner. What I can't abide is all the eateries that are currently adding Yorkshire Pudding to their 'traditional' Christmas roast. It just doesn't belong on the festive plate. I've even had to settle for salmon or steak to avoid it.
  7. What did this go for please? Once sold you are supposed to leave the price showing btw. TIA - Kev
  8. RIP Shane MacGowan, front man of the Pogues, singer of my favourite Christmas song and ex cloakroom guy at the 100 Club niters.
  9. Any luck yet Dave? Be a shame if you don't make it mate.
  10. Sad, sad news Geoff and thanks for passing it on. I hadn't seen Paul for some time, and now I know why. I'll always remember when I did the 'Soul for Heroes (South)' charity dayer in 2006 Paul unexpectantly presented me with a rather large cheque, courtesy of his work colleagues at the London Metal Exchange. Always a thoroughly nice guy, on and off the decks. Condolences to Helen and family. RIP Paul McKay
  11. PM'd you.
  12. Hotel booked, bag packed, belly filled and car fueled. Setting off now for my favourite soul club. See you all later. - Kev
  13. Happy Birthday Sandra. Have a good one, and a great weekend.
