Just heard the very sad news, that Pete Jay (Manifesto Soul Club) has passed away, on what is his 62nd birthday , not really heard any details, but my heart goes out to all his friends and family at this devastating time.

Last night the shocking news was confirmed to me that my good friend for many years, Pete Simpson, known to most as Pete Jay had passed away.

Geraldine and I are devastated. Our hearts go out to Av and is family at this time.

I have some fond memories of Pete especially when he DJ'ed at my Charity event in Tadcaster and gave us his history lesson in Ska music, and it was Pete that got me on to several good tune's Little Richard "Get Down Get with it" for one.
