This info was posted and removed yesterday in respect of the family

from what been told/read think it may be better if we wait for word from the family or close friends on this sad ongoing situation before having such a topic running

I spent many hours on a dance floor with Simon, he was one of the funniest guys I knew, his humour would have me in tears at times. When I learnt of his stroke the other day I could not believe it, he was only 57, far too young to be taken from us, he had so much more to give. To say he will be missed is doing him an injustice, he will leave a void on this scene that will be hard to fill.

This is how I will remember him ... in shorts, in the zone, dancing

R.I.P Simon ... condolences to Carol, Zac, and Bev

All our love Martyn & Carol x

I will miss Simon we where good friends & army buddies  .Nuneaton will not seem the same without him  RIP

Had plenty of good chats and did him a few modern cds. His love of the music and the scene was infectious. Rest well mate, you be sorely missed. Deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

So sad to hear this news. A chasm has been created, for which I do not think any one is capable of filling.

R.I.P Simon 😪

Only met the man a few times in person but chatted a lot online.  A top top bloke and can't believe he's gone.  He even got me to appreciate some modern tunes, which as a die hard "gritty" soul and funk fan took some doing!  May He rest well.

A South Yorkshire legendary Character. It was a great spectacle watching him Stomping away with his old days partner Mick Scott.Just like the clip of them on the Cleethorpes Documentary filmed in the 90s with Simon decked out in White shorts a sign of things to come.A real deal Crazy gang soulie with the X factor that lit up every venue he attended.

Be at peace mr , sound fella, many a time chatting at mac ds after the nighter, love and respect, from all the derby crew, kenny, steve, lee, peter, not forgetting shelia, lilly, bryonie, ur memory will live on, ktf x

Very sad news to say the least, one of lifes characters always said hello and made my wife and I laugh when we spoke at allnighters .The allnighter scene will not be the same without him, his posts on facebook were the only things worth reading on it. RIP Simon.

From Zac,

Simon Cuerden's funeral
When & Where: 11/07/2019 - the service will start at 16:00
The service will be held at Grenoside Crematorium (Sheffield S35 8RZ)
After party at Cubley Hall (Penistone, Sheffield S36 9DF)
I do not know how to start to organise a ride out but I know that my dad would love for as many scooters to be present as possible.
Dress code: I do not think my dad would want the whole black tie event. Therefore, I encourage you all to dress in what you would dressed in when you saw my dad.
I want to see lots of AFSC tops and northern should attire present. But if you want to go black tie then then I understand.
I for one will be wearing one of his old AFSC tops.
