What Would Be Your Cover Up Artist Name

Posted

Just seen a post from Rod, wingging of a fictional great Cover Up name for a group. Whilst i appreciate that the sound of a tune usually will give an indiation as to what to Cover something as, for the purpose of this thread what would be your fictional artist or group title ?.

Sonny Starr & the Sparkles

The Explosions Ft Charles Bridger

Beverley Frank & the Fairmounts Band

Detroit City Strings Ft Big Bea & the Babies

Dynamic Heartbeats

Chicago Rythmn Section with Frankie Moses & the Dynamiks

Royston Vasey Male Voice Choir

Im crap at this, but Im sure some of you clever people can think of some & some amusing ones too.

As suggested previously: if you have a look in your spam folder, you'll probably have tons of unsolicited offers for viagra and whatever - some of the names of the people sending them are perfect cover up names, have a look and see!

Have to say that as a kid I was really intrigued by the name "Bay City Rollers as I thought it had a real exciting ring to it. That's before I actually heard 'em of course blush.gif

Rather be accused of surfing porn actually...

I always fancied recording under the pseudonym of Vincent Ruby & The Cool Tones - on my own Divine Inspiration label

But I guess that something like "The Betty Swollocks All Stars" or "Mary Hinge and the Beavers" would be more in keeping with my common roots and smutty mind

Many years ago when Paul Johnson from Ely,Cambs ran the venue at the Cutter Inn Ely,i coverd a record up as The Cutterettes "Down by the riverside" on Swamp Records. he never saw the funny side of it when he played to a packed house, turned out to be "down at the riverside" by a realy shit gospel group,I was never allowed back in after that :thumbsup: .

If you see my aviator on SS ...My cover up would be Toby & the Tobettes on Toby Productions label..
