R Dean Taylor - Ghost in my house/Let's go somewhere

Don't have an all time fave, and some belters mentioned so far, with so many more!

This is probably my current fave, from a crossover/70's soul vein........

Temptations- Beauty is only skin deep/You're not an ordinary girl.

Mary Wells- Dear lover/ Can't you see.

Otis Redding-Respect/ I've been loving you too long.

Brian.

For me its gotta be Epitome of sound you don't love me/ where were you a class double sider that i'll love forever and will make me dance forever

The one getting hammered in this house at the moment, listen out for a youngish Ronnie McNeir (1970)

Have a soulful Bank Holiday

Kev

The great Sharon Scott with the "Pied Piper" production team................

I'd like to know / Could it be you.

Two great Northern dancers as far as I am concerned.

Cheers..............           Tom.   Banbury.

I know it's been mentioned already but this arrived in the post a couple of weeks back..M- copy of maybe the best Northern double sider ever.

A couple of my own favs would have to be Jackie Wilson - The Who Who Song / Since You Showed Me How To Be Happy and The Oracles - I Ain't Got Time / Love In My Heart

Dennis Edwards - Johnnie on the spot  etc

Beat me to it Julian - wonder who'll be on first in Mojacar? :D

Beat me to it Julian - wonder who'll be on first in Mojacar? :D

Well, I'm definitely NOT on last!

Willie Hutch - The Duck / Love Runs Out [Dunhill ]

The best call of the lot. Because Love Runs Out is quite simply the most wonderful slab of music ever played under the name of soul on any dance scene anywhere, ever.

THELMA LINDSEY ----Why Were'nt You There/Prepared To Love You - Magic City

Detroit heaven

Master Force - Hey Girl // Don't fight the feeling on Rain forest

The Enchanters -There's a look about you // On a little Island on Tee Pee

Luther Davis -You can be a star // To be free on Life line

And as previously mentioned, Innersection, Just us etc...

Another vote from me for each of the Commands, Cashmeres, Epitome Of Sound, John & The Wierdest, Magnetics (Bonnie) and Magnetics (Sable)...

Don't think anyone's mentioned:

Eddie Parker: Crying Clown/I'm Gone (Awake) (in that order, as far as I'm concerned, in the sense that for me "Crying Clown" is EVEN better than "I'm Gone")

Al Wiliams: I Am Nothing/Brand New Love (La Beat)

Cairos: Don't Fight It/Stop Overlooking Me (Shrine) (again, in that order)

Bobbie Smith: Walk On Into My Heart/Miss Stronghearted (American Arts)

Anita Anderson: Little Bit Longer/Secretly (Contact)

Big Maybelle: Quitting Time/ I Just Can't Wait Any Longer (Rojac)

Personal fave double sider of the lot has to be:

Traits: Someday Someway/You Waited Too Long (Contact)

Cheers,

Nick

Billy Miranda - Count Your Teardrops/You Could've Had a Good Thing Going on Queen.

Already mentioned but in my book the best "Darrel banks...Our love.......Open the door", total magic.

Another that rates highly in my book.

Wes Lewis - It's Gonna Be Hard / Best Of My Years (Black Kat)

For me it's gotta be Mikki Farrow

"Could it be" is just awesome

That's interesting Kev, I was thinking about a shrine 45 that came up for sale some years back, it had been pressed wrong, and had two classic dancers from the label on it, dunno bout the labels, is this that very disc by any chance?

Malcolm

I once had the pleasure of playing the actual record (unless there's more than one) Both sides had the correct Cairos labels on but oddly one side was guess who loves you

I Wish It Were Me/Look Over your Shoulder- Implements

Someone/Do This For Me- Lovers
