Miserable but brilliant.

This one comes to mind.

Certainly not going to be on anyones wedding playlist!

I cried all the way home / the dramatics 💚🎶

Brings tears to the eyes, but pure 100% quality. My fave Temps track ever. Simply sublime.

Seems like The Temptations are getting their fair share one way or other , my personal favourite  piece of Temptations soulful miserability is " Since I Lost My Baby "

This has to be in the top"miserable"10.

There's miserable and there's gut wrenching, these 2 Vietnam tales fall into the latter.

Freddie Scott Johnnys Hill.

Zerban R Hicks Lights Out.

Can't find it on Youtube, but one jolly tune we used to like was the RnB growler 'Misery' by Henry Stogen on Sylvia/Lamp records.

From David Ruffin's brother -

Tremendous. A number which will resonate deeply with those of us of a certain age.  Motowns greatest unsung hero.

this takes some beating, it's all about death and being buried, but the Carolyn Sullivan one is Grimm too

I was brought up on Jimmy Ruffin by my older sister Shauna R.I.P He's totally under rated in my opinion.

Not forgetting the alternative second line of the chorus, which makes the song even sadder.

A bit of teenage angst from Darrow Fletcher - My Young Misery......

You could say, just about everything by young Darrow! Pain Gets A little Deeper, What Have I Got Now, etc

Doesn't seem like he had a very happy childhood.

Back in the day,This was a monster tune,Made me as miserable as hell,I really did not like it at all,Seemed to be so out of touch with the 100mph scene at the time,Nowadays I love it !

Move away all sharp and pointy things before playing.

Well, I`d say this is quite miserable

No question ....it has got to be The bells by Billy Ward and his dominoes with the superb Clyde Mcphatter breaking his heart .

Could someone post it please?

Wendy Rene sounds really miserable on these two tracks - don't think they came out on vinyl though?
