Dave Rivers In Hospital....any Update?

dave was taken ill last night at stoke, im sure everyone is concerned for his health....if there is any news/update on his condition, please post?

sorry chalky, havent looked for a couple of hours,hoping something would ensue, thanks for the briefing, if you hear anything else post up asap.

gobsmacked......me and may were stting next to him when he was doing his set...he came on after me. we were having a laugh and joke and he seemed in good spirits and playing some blinding tunes...about 11.45 he just went without any warning, record still playing on the decks, lps about and singles box open, ted stepped in. may reckoned dave was sweating and looking for a drink, he said he felt sick. think he had some type of aural angina spray.....then he was gone. steff left a short while later. we think he must have called for an ambulence himself, he couldnt have driven, he seemed quite lucid given the circumstances and bearing in mind he knows what the warning signs are from the previous experience, he reacted quickly. anyway, we dont have a contact number so if you get any updates, keep us all in the picture.

Right everyone, just off the phone with Stef who informs me that Squire Rivers has settled in for the night & is on the mend, he shall be held captive till Wednesday it seems, so if you live nearby & know Dave bob in & listen to him moaning, apparently all the wires,needles & cable ties are stopping him getting comfy & he's considering a train home, were I shall be waiting for my full refund of £2 car parking monies & Kings Hall half night tickets, as we spent it circumnavigating Stoke and also avoiding the night creatures of Emergency room drunks & psychos, all joking aside he's feeling loads better & I'll ensure he knows your all thinking about him & wishing him well, btw if you see him smoking after this please give him a bo**ocking, a good one. :dash2:

p.s. It was the best spot I've heard him play in yonks, he'll do owt to get out of lugging his record boxes back to the car the sly old sod. :lol:

Thanks to you all for your get well wishes. I will pass them on. He really frightened me this time as his heart stopped 1 minute away from the hospital. I thought he was a goner this time. The police outside Stoke were brilliant and called an ambulance at once. Thanks again to Pete and Gail for their support, I couldn't have got through it without them. Left him feeling very restless, it as noisy as hell with all the monitors going off don't know how anyone can sleep through them.

Once again thanks for all your kind thoughts. I'll let you know of any further updates.

Only just got home from last nights trip to Stoke. Shocked as only saw him last night, but happy that he is on the mend.
