Popular Post Sunnysoul
Yes, unquestionably one of the greatest voices in Soul Music. And the Dells were, in my humble opinion, the greatest vocal group in Soul Music history bar none, and that includes the Temptations, Four Tops, Impressions, Isleys etc. 9 Link to comment Social source share
The Yank
Very sad to hear this. One of the greatest groups ever with such a deep catalogue ! 1 Link to comment Social source share
Popular Post Kev Cane
Gutted, but as Sean stated we knew he was very poorly, still don't make it any easier, The Dells are the greatest vocal group ever, very versatile, but, for me when they got down and deep they were an unmoveable force, Teddy Pendergrass said in his book the first time he heard Marvin Junior live his voice shook the building, testament itself from one of the genuine greats Kev 7 Link to comment Social source share
Jez Jones
A voice that is synonymous with 'soul' to me....since I first heard him...way back in my youth. RIP Marvin 2 Link to comment Social source share
Mark R
Knowing he was ill, I was dreading waking up to this news one day. An incredible vocal talent, the like of which is extremely unlikely to be surpassed. Sympathy to his family and friends, what a sad day for our music. In hindsight, had I needed to I would have paid a King's ransome to witness them at Trentham. R.I.P. Marvin Junior Mark R 1 Link to comment Social source share
