Yes Dave. The one and only. I know you two go way way back. He passed away peacefully yesterday surrounded by friends and family.

Sad news indeed, several years ago he spilt a pint down my trousers and every time I saw him after that he apologised, a real gentleman.  RIP Toby

He was part of the 6TS furniture for nearly four decades and indeed went back before that to the mid 70s when he started travelling around the country with Mick, Taff and others. Later he got to know Randy and they always hit it off. Full of mischief, fun and stories; a real character, I'll miss him.

He will be missed,all the stories and jokes and talking bollox,so very very sad RIP mate

Hi All  Nice comments from all of you,  all I can say about Toby will be said better by those as Ady says from the 6ts crowd, However I go back a bit further than that  as he was one of a group of young kids that attended the local youth club, where on a Monday Night I would play Northern Soul Music to them, And I do believe it was through these nights many youngster got to know about the music me but also Chris G & Mick Smith.

Also what comes to mind I sold Toby my old LI 150 series 2 that I hardly used for £25,  All in All this morning is like losing a Kid, disbelief is the word. RIP TOBY.

Not seen Toby in ages, but strangely enough I was only thinking about him last week, a true gent. great laugh and generous to a fault !

remember him sending me up a record I was missing and needed for a backing track for Melvin Davis.

Sad news, first introduced to Toby by Johnny Timlin then met up again at the first Hamburg weekender in the Mandarin Casino.

Great fella, and a great weekend(er) if I remember rightly.

Very sad news.  Thoughts are with Toby's family at this time.

RIP Toby, a proper character & as others have said always full of stories & a gent to boot, a sad day :(   

Another old school soulie crosses the bar, a proper gent, always had time for everyone, always up to mischief, always talking bollox.....will miss Toby....RIP bro' & sincere condolences to family & friends....

Seeing pictures on Facebook makes me realise who this is, I didn't know him, but I knew him if you see what I mean.

Always looked out for Toby at Soulgate & had fun talking bollocks & the odd half truth. Sad to hear this news this morning RIP

Sad news. I had a few laughs with Toby over the years. R.I.P. matey your battle is over.
