Sad to read this Ady, I can see her smile now as she sat opposite me at breakfast on the Monday morning after her appearance at Prestatyn some years ago.

Mary, your music gave all of us so many memories!

God bless and RIP

I had the great pleasure of interviewing her for Blues & Soul when she appeared at Fleetwood in the late 80s. She was a warm, genuine person and very honest in her account of her troubled upbringing. RIP Mary.

Just on my way back in a train from Munich where I dejayed last night and played Mary Love's "Born to live with Heartache"....one of my favourite female Soul singers she was and will continue to be, what a sad loss! RIP.

When Mary was at Clethorpes week-ender myself and Dean Anderson was asked by Ady to make sure she was ok on the saturday afternoon rehersal, after a great performance we went upstairs to pay our thanks and she said something to me that ive never forgot "Gilly in life ive never met anyone who is better than me and in turn i never thought i was better than anyone else" what sweet words.Bless and thank-you Mary for your music and for being you,it has been a pleasure.
